Editorial

Dear reader,

The most important event of 2010 in the printing industry, IPEX 2010, is behind us. I have to say that I’m more than happy with the success Nipson achieved during this event such as the EDP Award (see article below) and the several equipment orders. Nipson made a very strong statement at IPEX and the real result of this is still to come.

While most of the European parliaments have been re-elected “for change” and several analysts are forecasting a second dip, Nipson is moving forward. Lean and mean as we are, we are working hard on extending further our product portfolio and the benefits of our technology. Announcements on these will be made soon.

I hope you will enjoy reading our latest news

Nipson Awarded at Ipex 2010

Ipex was in full swing, when the EDP (European Digital Press) Association invited Nipson to collect an Award, at the NEC in Birmingham.

Nipson DIGIFlex was awarded as the Best Web-Fed Production Printer Monochrome for the following unique features:

-  Productivity, with a speed reaching up to 104 meters meters per minute,
-  Maximum Print width of 486.5 mm,
with a maximum of 915 mm length, making it usable for printing newspapers and transpromo applications.
-  Ability to print on substrates up to 300 gsm.

We are proud having received this Award and as Guillaume Dumarey said "This Award really confirms the value and unique capabilities of our products and rewards the hard work carried out by the whole of our company."

Nipson’s “uniqueness” emphasized in Black and White at Ipex - May 18-25, 2010

The Nipson stand at Ipex, in the Black & White colors, was at the same time strong and elegant.
Our visitors could experience that the Nipson printers can print on "almost any substrates" thanks to demonstrations on 30 gsm pharmaceutical paper, 25 micron PET film, 48.8 recycled paper and 300 gsm kraft paper.s

The organizers claim that 94,949 visitors came to Ipex and that 44% of them were interested in Digital Printing. This is good news and Nipson enjoyed the benefits of the show from the first day, by concluding several deals.

Nipson is delighted to say that Ipex was more successful than any other show at which we have exhibited over the last months:

-  Several deals have been concluded,
-  A valuable Award has been received,
-  Lots of interest of potential customers.

Ipex 2010 is behind us but we are convinced that the show will have a positive impact on our business for a long time!
